Fred Hammond looking like the Essence lady ??!!! You are too funny--but it's sort of true.
But for real, we need to pray that the gosple music industry returns to operating with integrity. We need to remember that if we are singing the gospel (which is the good news of Jesus), then it makes our message null and void if our behavior is inconsistent.
Bro. Cobb,
I honestly respect your views and your opinions, but as a 10years plus veteran of the Gospel Music Industry, I believe that you are obviously speaking from an outsiders perspective. There is so much more that goes along with not only being in the gospel industry, but in the music industry as a whole. Those artists who many will swear never compromise what they stand for often compromise daily for the sake of maintaining their stability as first signed artists and secondly ministers of music. Tonex's departure was no shock to me at all because I know how the industry in general can be. It's hard to pour so much of yourself into people yet on the inside you're in pain and frustrated by life. I am hesitant to reveal my identity for the sake of privacy, but you can certainly expect my ministry to make it's final bowout in the year of 2008.
Continue your awesome work with this site dedicated to the spread of the gospel through song.
Be Blessed
